What is whistleblowing and who is a whistleblower?
Whistleblowing is a tool that allows employees or third parties (for example suppliers) to confidentially report any offenses encountered during their work.
The whistleblower is the person who identifies an offense or irregularity in the workplace, during the performance of his duties and decides to report it to the company or body to which he belongs or to an authority that can act effectively in this regard.
The whistleblower is protected by law. For further information we recommend that you read the "whistleblowing legislation", available on the Internet.
How can I send a report?
The esteco.segnalazioni.net system provides two modes that can be present at the same time or not, based on the choices of the Whistleblowing Manager:
Registered user: you create an account through which you access your reports with a username and password (chosen by you). In this case your identity is available to the Responsible recipient, but is separate from the report and hidden.
Unregistered user: create the report and access it using the codes issued by the system. Keep the code and password carefully because if you lose them you will no longer have access to your report. If you have indicated your name and surname, your identity will remain hidden but accessible only to the recipient of the report. If you prefer to remain anonymous, if this method has been foreseen, do not indicate references that could lead to your identity. If you attach files, remember to check that they do not contain references to your identity, even within the metadata. If requested by the Manager, you can subsequently communicate your identity via the message area.
By whom and how is my report handled?
Normally the report is managed by a Whistleblowing Manager, for example the RPCT or other figures, or by a Working Group made up of several people, for example the Supervisory Body. For further details we recommend you read The rules.
How can I check the progress of my report?
If you are a REGISTERED user or have indicated your email address as an UNREGISTERED USER, you will receive a notification via email if the Manager wishes to request further information or clarifications. If you don't receive notifications, also check your spam box. In any case, we recommend that you periodically access your report to directly check if you have any requests or simply to consult the processing status. We remind you, for confidentiality reasons, not to use a company email address.
How can I integrate the report?
After sending the report you can integrate it by accessing the report itself and inserting a message in the "messages" area.
What facts or acts can I report?
There is no exhaustive list of offenses or irregularities that can constitute the subject of whistleblowing. Reports concerning behavior, risks, crimes or irregularities to the detriment of the public interest are considered relevant.
Il whistleblowing It does not concern complaints of a personal nature of the reporting party, usually governed by other procedures.
Inside the report form you will find a list of topics, use one of these. For further details you can consult The rules.
How is my identity managed?
Reports and the identity of the Whistleblower are highly confidential; The software hides the identity of the reporter. Access to the identity of the whistleblower is in any case granted exclusively to the person responsible for reporting, through a security procedure, which records access to the identity, with a request for the reason. In the event that the person responsible has viewed your identity, you will be informed by the platform via an alert. The system does not use log systems that allow us to trace the identity of the person sending a report.
